Positano Attractions

Wondering around Positano is a delight in itself but be prepared for a lot of steps! The main attraction is the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta, with its green and gold ceramic dome, while Sentiero degli Dei is a panoramic walk between Positano and Praiano.

As well soaking up the sun on the beach and culture there are many boat excursions, watersports such as diving and walking tours available.

Off the coast of Positano there are the Galli islands which is many places to visit in the area.

Positano Events

There are various events held throughout the year including “Summer Music”, a chamber music festival held in September and on August (15th) there is a fireworks display over the bay to celebrate the patron saint Santa Maria Assunta.

The annual Massine ballet awards are held in Positano in September, takes place on the beach.

Positano has a typically Mediterranean, mild in the winter and very warm in the summer. The average temperatures in winter is 13°C while in the summer, 23°C, with the warmest months being July and August.
