A relaxing Positano Holiday can be enjoyed on one of its dark beaches which are cordoned-off by the different bathing establishments. These establishments offer sunbed hire and other facilties for which you pay a daily fee or there are the “spiaggia libera”, which are free. A more quiet beach is found in the bay of Fornillo, situated to the west or to the right as you face the sea. There are diving facilties and boat hire/boat excursions offered from the Fornillo and Spiaggia Grande.

Nightlife, on a Positano holiday is generally an expensive affair, although the choice is wide. The restaurants line the beach, where people tend to gather in the evening. If you want a more sedate atmosphere in your Positano Holiday, head up into the town where the quieter spots are. For absolute tranquillity go to Fornillo, where you will hear the lapping of waves as you eat.

There are bars lining the waterfront, with the Music on the Rocks on the main beach, being a rather expensive option. On Viale Pasitea there are various places to have a drink while looking out to sea, and in some places hear live music.
